Terms of Service
At a glance
- My Funded Journal is a record-keeping and review tool. It is not financial advice, a broker or a prop firm.
- Rule presets and payout figures are estimates built from public firm rules. Check them against your firm's own platform.
- Early access is provided as is, and features may change.
- You keep ownership of your data.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms are an agreement between you and Hunter James Ventures LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of My Funded Journal, including the website, web app and browser extension (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
2. The Service and early access
The Service lets you import or sync trades, organize multiple trading accounts, group mirrored trades, journal and review, apply prop firm rule presets, and see reports and payout readiness. We are in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be interrupted. We may limit or end early access at any time.
3. Not advice, not a broker, not a prop firm
- The Service is a record-keeping and analysis tool. Nothing in it is investment, trading, tax or legal advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
- We are not a broker, exchange or prop trading firm. We cannot place trades or move money, and we do not hold your funds.
- We are an affiliate of Top One Futures and may earn a commission if you sign up through our referral link. That relationship does not change how the Service works and is not an endorsement. We are not otherwise affiliated with Tradovate, NinjaTrader or any other prop firm, and no firm owns or operates the Service. Firm names are trademarks of their owners and appear only to describe compatibility.
- Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss. Past results do not predict future results.
4. Firm rules and calculations are estimates
Our presets are built from rules that firms publish. Firms change their rules, apply them at their discretion, and sometimes publish them unclearly. Drawdown levels, consistency checks, payout readiness and withdrawable amounts shown in the Service are estimates for your information. Your firm's own platform and decisions are the only authority. We are not responsible for a breached account, a denied or delayed payout, or any rule violation, even if it relates to a figure shown in the Service. Every preset lists its assumptions in its notes, and you should review them for your accounts.
5. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in email and sync keys secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. Do not share your account.
6. Third-party platforms and their terms
You are responsible for making sure your use of imports and the browser extension complies with the terms of Tradovate, your broker and your prop firm. Some of them may restrict automated tools or data access. We do not control their rules, and you use sync features at your own risk. We may disable a sync feature if a platform or the law requires it.
7. Your data and our license to it
You own the trading data, notes and screenshots you put into the Service ("Your Data"). You give us a limited license to host, process, copy and display Your Data only as needed to provide and secure the Service for you. That includes sending information to our AI provider when you request a written review. We may use aggregated and de-identified information, which does not identify you, to operate and improve the Service. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, including other people's personal information.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not break the law or violate anyone's rights.
- Do not copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not probe, overload or interfere with the Service, or try to access another member's data.
- Do not upload malware or harmful content.
- Do not use the Service to misrepresent trading results to a firm or anyone else.
9. Fees
Founding members get a 30-day free trial, then early access costs $19.99 per month. We will show the price and terms before you pay and give notice before charging an existing member. Plans renew monthly and can be cancelled as described at purchase. Refunds will follow the policy shown at purchase. We may change pricing for future members, and we will give existing members notice before any change applies to them.
10. Our intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, brand, and our compilation of rule presets. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure, or if we end the Service. Where we end your access without cause, we will give you a reasonable chance to export Your Data.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that data will never be lost, and we do not promise any trading result.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, trading losses, lost or denied payouts, lost data or business interruption, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may apply to you only as far as the law permits.
14. Indemnity
You will defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the Service, Your Data, or your breach of these Terms or any law or third-party terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any claim not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
17. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in a merger or sale of the business.
